1/8 scale Makoto Sawatari by Max Factory
Well, with under 48hrs to go before my trip, I decided to post a figure review before I leave. As this what could be my last figure review for the year, I decided to add a proper background while trialing out my custom setup.
As seen in front of you, she is the adorable, cute, lovable, funny and naive Makoto Sawatari from the game and anime series Kanon. While I can sit all day talking about her, I’m sure your guys and gals would prefer looking through the pictures so I will skip the intro. For the people who still haven’t watched the series, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it, as it was voted for one of the best drama series of 2007.
Originally released early March this year, I canceled her at the very last minute before she was officially released. I can’t remember what the main reason was but when I saw Dancing Queen review, I was kicking myself to bits. She was just spectacular and beautiful where I felt like she was the most beautiful figure in the world. I reckon it was the yellow flowers that helped me portray that view. lol
So for a week or 2, I went on a frantic search for her and just by luck, I saw her ‘re-stocked” at Hobby Search. Regardless of the shipping price I grabbed her instantly and to this day, she is still one of my favourite figures in my collection. No doubt I would love to see her ‘figmatized’ and pose her in a more variety of ways. ^^
Once again, she is just spectacular and it can be seen via the quality. Love the pose, love the details, love the hair, love that cute little ‘foxy’ smile and love all the other bits from head to toe. Honestly, there is not a single bit that I do not love about her.
Well, I’m done talking. I will let the pictures finish it off. ^^
Well, as my first shoot using a plain coloured background, I thought it went well but then again, I know I can do better. As I always like to spice up my shoots a bit, I added a few hand made stars on the base. The stars belongs to my sister as she use to make heaps when she was young.
Well, she’s practically impossible to find nowadays but best of luck if you do try and hunt her down.

Makoto isn’t my favorite character, but i know that this figure is great. One of the best Kanon figure. I like your close up photo of her face.

yay makoto! what she really needs is a nice field to play in ^_^ or some nikuman :P gah, wish i had some kanon figures seeing as it’s one of my favorite games.
such a great representation of her character! wish the mf ayu had a cheerful expression like makoto has here.
really didn’t think much about makoto when i first started playing but she ended up being one of my favorites ^^ well, then again, all the kanon girls are pretty much tied as my favorites… i’d feel bad ranking any one of them above the other ^^;;

I grabbed Ayu instantly when I laid eyes upon her angel wings. They are beautiful. ^^
Will do.
@meronpan
She was hilarious at first but then after a while, I felt like I grown an attachment to her. The last bit of her arc was sad. T_T
Hopefully, MF will release the rest of the lovely ladies one day.
@Acesan
Will do her review when I get back. Very true. T_T
@Kairu Ishimaru
Pink is the new thing in my books. Pink fingernails, pantsu, I love them all. xD

I’ve made those stars~ found some Sailormoon strips in Cabramatta a few years ago x3;; though I only mad a few… was going to buy a jar or something to put them in before I made more, but never got around to it ^^;;
I love her boots~ hehe, but yes, overall she’s a very lovely figure that would suit any collection, at least I think so :3
Would love to take photos of her *o*~
