Finally made it to the other side of the city, also known as the "Exit".

The moat surrounds the whole city so if you were able to get out, you would have drowned.

Overall, it was an awesome adventure being inside the walls of  city. With so much history and culture, it was literally impossible to see it all in half a day. If you ever plan to make the trip here, this place is a MUST SEE because you will have to experience it to see what it feels like to be within these walls.
Honestly, it’s quite overwhelming as you feel like you stepped back in time where the Dynasties once ruled China. ^^

    I would love to go…but first I need to learn the language…
    Your experience in Beijing is like my experience in Japan…
    9 days is not enough to explore Tokyo…the next time I go which is in the summer I plan to go to Japan for 3 weeks…

    @Otaku Dan
    One of the best. ^^

    @Panther
    Thanks mate. Corrected on my post.
    I knew that was a name but I couldn’t figure it out what it was. -_-

    @Rin
    If u don’t know the language, u can book with an English travel group. There was heaps of other groups from many countries there that day.

    @M12
    It’s more impressive when u see it with ur own eyes. :)

    The Forbidden City is one of the places I would like to see one day. But yeah, the problem is the language barrier and I imagine there aren’t many English speaking tours available? Still I would prefer to go in myself rather than join a tour group.

    Oh very, very nice pictures of the artifects in the Palace Museum~ I’m surprised that they allow pictures there!

    Tell you something interesting: There should be a lot more treasured items there, but they ended up in the National Palace Museum, which is in Taipei o_o

    The reason behind this was that back in the 30s-40s, the KMT (Nationalists) moved them from places to places to prevent them to fall to the hands of the Japanese. After WWII came (or rather, resumed) the civil war, and with the communists winning the KMT took a lot of the items with them as they fled to what we call Taiwan.

    What I’ve said may not be 100%, but a wiki always helps:

    @gordon
    I was planning to but I realised I’m gonna be moving around a lot so I didn’t. T_T

    @Persocom
    It’s a must see and u won’t regret it. ^^

    @James
    James my friend, I wanna go to France one day. Will u show me around? :)

    @Rangerroh
    Last pic. to the moat was a good way to end it.

    @Q
    Interesting Q. Thanks.
    I basically skimmed through the treasure sections as each area was so crowded. I didn’t take a lot of treasure items as most of them are the same overall.
