Continuing with this weeks review spree, I’m proud to present the Megami Magazine Super Deluxe. This is one neat magazine full of beautiful artworks and one magazine where everyone should own, so hit the jump to find out why.
First off, the Super Deluxe edition is a magazine consisting the best selection of illustrations brought to you by Gakken. From my understanding, they chose the best artworks from Vol. 1 to Vol. 100 and jammed packed it, into one super awesome magazine where it looks exactly like any other artbook. My guess, this super deluxe is to celebrate their milestone in reaching the 100 volume mark and what better way to do it than releasing the best illustrations from the past volumes, for it’s fans. Many will appreciate where you can revisit pass illustrations which are almost forgotten. Considering they have been in the market for more than a decade now, it doesn’t look like they will be going anywhere anytime soon so I find this is a sweet treat. ^^
As it contains over 140 pages of “the best of the best” illustrations, it will take me forever to show them all so I’ve decided to show you my best 25. :)

In addition, it comes with a (B2) mega poster featuring Nanoha & Fate from StrikerS and the 2 beautiful ladies from Da Capo. (Please don’t ask me their names, as I haven’t gotten into the series and may never will)

Side 1

Side 2
I hope the pictures showed you an insight into why it’s a must have. There are many more inside and at times, it was hard to pick favourites as I just love them all. Even though I may have most of the illustrations in poster form, having them all again alongside with the ones I don’t have in one neat little book is just great. Now I can flick through most of my favourites without the need to dig through the pile of posters.
As a Megami fan or not and/or just a general artbook collector, this is a MUST have. I’m sure most or your favourite series are in there and it fits perfectly in anyone’s collection.
Grab your copy at your local Kinokuniya store and if you prefer online, Akadot Retail and HLJ is place I can still find them “In Stock”, so be quick.

Very nice, I think I will pick that up. By the way, you may want to check the Megami Creators magazines instead of the regular Megami ones. If you’re only interested in the pretty pictures, you’d probably like them more ;)

Ah, some of these images are from rather old titles. Indeed, Megami has been around for a while. Nice.

aaa the nanoha poster is great ^^
but ugh, i must say i hate the art direction they took for the love hina anime orz normally i don’t mind the manga/anime differences, but all the characters had such a different feel for me it was a huge turn off in the love hina case.
all this stuff makes me wish i picked up some art books… but then i remember how often i look through the ones i already own… … ^^;;;

@sonic
Sorry, no luck on my side either.
In case I do find it by chance I will be sure to send it to ya.
@Love Hina started off great but then it got repetitive and it just got sort of boring.
Still, it’s a great series to chill out. ^^
