A Game and Figma

Just 2 items this week where I picked up one and the other one got delivered.

As you can see it’s:

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice on the PS3
figma shana (Black hair version)

Picked up Disgaea 3 at eb games in the city. I reckon you must be wondering “another game already!? You just got Street Fighter VI last week” lol
Well, I would love to say “you can never have too much games” but I would be lying to myself if I did but this one is another exception. I’ve been reading reviews about this game the same time I was checking out Eternal Sonata and ever since it got released last week, it’s been on my mind from time to time and the only way I could get it out is to buy it. So much for self-control huh :D
Still, I’ve cut back on figures dramatically so I tend to have some leftover cash to spend on other things. :)

Do you get these urges from time to time and is your way in solving it is to buy it?

I picked it up for $20AUD by trading in 3 games. I just got tired of those games and I know I won’t be playing them again so I don’t see the point in keeping them.
In case your wondering, the 3 games are:

Final Fantasy A2 on the DS
Final Fantasy III on the DS
Dragon Quest : Swords on the Wii

Lastly, received figma shana yesterday from Play-asia. She’s the only figure for this month as I said just a moment ago where I’m cutting back on figures dramatically. I preordered her many moons ago and even though she was a bit pricey, she was only available via a special order (can’t remember what it was) and I was surprised Play-asia was able to receive some.

I am thankful I was able to secure my order from there as now it’s sold out and I know I would need to pay a higher if I was to search for her now.

That’s right, there’s no such thing as having too much games on hand. But still, having too much game means that you have to be ready for handling stack of unfinished games.

Wow more games for you~ I still have two PC games to betatest in my free time on top of other things ^^;

After reading on the modded figma Shana and blogging about it on the same day I regretted not getting it in the first place (seriously, the promotional pics did no justice to her IMO). After pondering around for options I resorted to auctions again. The price is surprisingly not bad for a limited figure though (I was expecting a price that I could not reach). It has just arrived my home in Hong Kong, but I won’t get to see it myself for another 3 weeks! ._.

very nice! i’m insanely jealous of disgaea 3… i haven’t even played the 2nd one orz

i usually let my natural laziness combat impulse buys… if i’m still obsessive about something after a week or so i figure the desire is real and buy ^^

Oh wow! You got the Shana black hair version… only comes with a magazine purchase I think. Hard to get that, congrats on getting one.

Disgaea 3 is an awesome game, and in fact, the entire series is so great. Playable over and over again, changing storyline while having the need to strategise before playing, different classes. And Disgaea 3 has a much wierder (and unique) storyline too. And it’s PS3 *drools*

never got into the disgaea franchise before but the trailer looked cool. alas i don’t own a ps3 I’m stuck back in time with a ps2. I knew I should have pre-ordered black hair Shana back when she was available at play-asia but for some reason I held back. oh well I probably won’t find her anywhere for a price I’ll be willing to pay now, but at least I have the flame hair version.

I wish I had ur way of thinking but I got to be serious when it comes to impulse buys. While I may go wild, there is something along the way which has to be sacrificed.

Unfortunately, even though I wanna play the pass Disgaea games, I don’t have a ps2 and my ps3 is a 40Gig so that means, no ps2 playback which is a shame. T_T
