HLJ Sale Loot Continues…

The last stash of my HLJ Sale loot arrived this morning. The order was split into 2 seperate boxes and despite the first box arriving late last week, I decided to wait for my 2nd box before I show the goods.
As seen above, they are:
- 1/8 Sakura Nankyoku Maid Ver.
- 1/8 Yukari Morita PVC
- 1/100 Tieren Ground Type
- Nendoroid Yoko
First off, the nendoroid is not mine, it’s Koshiko. I gave her a heads up about the HLJ 2nd Anniversary sale and she wanted the nendo Yoko. I decided to help her out and bundle it within my order so she can save on shipping cost. Aren’t I a considerate guy? xD
The Sakura Nankyoku Maid Ver. was an impulse buy. I found out the sale started when I was still at work. Good thing it started at around 9pm AEST (from when I first checked) as I was doing the late shift and most of my guys has already gone home. The bad thing is, I was multi-tasking at the same time and as the number of items was ticking down after every refresh from 2-3 minutes, I didn’t have time to think if it was worth a get or not or consider the fact I had other preorders on list etc. So do I regret it now? Absolutely not. She’s looks gorgeous and I can’t wait to play with her. xD
Yukari Morita from Rocket Girls has always been on my wishlist. After watching the series, I’ve always wanted her but the price of 6,980 yen had always held me back. I had a chance to get her at Hobby Search when she was dumped in the bargain bin but I was too late. So the wait continues and after a year and a few months, that chance had arrived. Better still, she was 70% off from the RRP. All that effort of patience, all that endurance has FINALLY paid off. xD
Lastly, 1/100 Tieren Ground Type is my first gundam EVER. Now this doesn’t mean I’ve jumped on the Gundam bandwagon but it’s more of ’spicing’ up my collection. Getting my first complete castoff figure was the first step and now it’s adding at least 1 gundam into my collection. It may not look as epic or special to some people (like it’s only a ground unit that can’t even fly lol) but as it’s my first and could be my last, I’m gonna enjoy building it very much. xD
I apologies for the lack of replies to your comments recently. I tried to get through them asap but things always come up. I tend to enjoy reading your posts more than replying to your comments. Are you bothered by that?
Anyway, more loot to come if anything tickles my fancy when I pay a visit to Kino tomorrow. xD

Nice grab. Dang, I woulda gotten the Yukari figure myself at that price if I made it in time =/
I hope you’ll have fun with the model, it might be surprisingly more addictive than you think. I pretty much got suckered in when I bought a kit just for fun about 2 years ago ^^; Any plans of doing minor stuff like panel lines on it? Or just planning a straight build?

Gundam bandwagon is expensive. The PVC bandwagon is denying me funds from buying paint >.<
There were impulse urges from the second sale, but there weren’t “omigosh I gotta get!” kind of stuff for me. Although I almost bought nendoroid Yoko (that and Klan was sold out when I woke up)

There’s one thing that is true for me, and that’s that Gundam bandwagon is much more viable and cheaper than the figure bandwagon (which I am sort of am in, but sort of not, if you know what I mean). Cheaper to purchase (unless you are going for those crazy MGs which is the case for many Gundam fans in DC community), great interaction, fun, and definitely easier to find than figures (well at least for me).
I was surprised that you actually picked the Tieren, as it’s a grunty ground type unit that not many people tend to appreciate. This is not the case for me as I have been into grunt machines and military so it’s a great one for me~ ^^
Just remember to read the instructions carefully, put the parts together, and Tieren is pretty good even without Gundam Markers to bring up the details as it’s got quite a lot of details in the first place. Nice get, nice get; surprised by what you got (people tend to get the fancy looking Gundams usually), but I am happy XD
And as you can see, I’ve been ignoring the figures in the post completely - will look forward to your reviews!
And yes replying to comments can be tough - I take a long time to reply, and sometimes having a tougher time than thinking about what to blog! orz

What you got a gundam Optic!? AWESOME~~ xD
Hope you have fun with it, it really is addicting when you crack the box open and get down and dirty to build it, though it takes quiet some time to complete if you worry how it comes out i.e. making sure the nubs are close to gone if it’s straight out the box ^^, make sure you have a day free so you can get the full experience :D let me know if you need help with it like materials or something k ;D
Awesome figures, that Yukari is a rare one, hope you have fun playing with them xD I personally find it harder to comment others than replying to comments I get, guess because I don’t get that much :P , but going to each blog and finding something to comment on can take a little time ^^

Congrats on your new get, I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with the Sakura Maid figure, even if it was an impulse buy.
The figures flew out the window this time around, unlike the first sale where no body knew of the sale until they lumped it into an “anniversary” sale category.

Thanks for the tip Q. As it’s my first, I know it will take a while for me to get use to building this thing but I know I can manage. Like when i was kid, i use to build those plane models and they were pretty easy.
I never knew ur into the grunt machines. I always thought u like the heroes who fly across the skies and shoot down the badies lol.

I always save shipping cost for myself. That’s why I way buy in bulks if possible. Sad thing is, HLJ does hold on to my orders. -_-

Most of the time, it’s the time allocated to myself to reply to comments here is the problem because I always exceed that limit. While I wanna allocate more time, it means commenting on other blogs will take the sacrifice. I’m still working out a way to balance both while keeping my readers and myself happy.
