After Work Loot

I wonder who’s face is that? xD

One of the good things about working in the city is the late night shopping you can go to after work. As for me, I finish early on Thursday night every fortnight and considering every Thursday night is known as ‘late night shopping’ hence, the shops closes late, I tend to take advantage of that  to loosen up my wallet. ^^
No wonder I always feel lighter on Friday. LOL

As seen above, they are:

  • Saber portraits illustration book
  • Transformer: The Movie (Animated) on Bluray
  • The Day the Earth Stood Still on Bluray

The Saber portraits illustration book was kind of an impulse buy but I do have my reasons why. Despite not being a big fan of Saber compared to….like…. Gndynames, the illustrations are just to lovely to pass up. I recall seeing some of these illurtrations in scan format at various blogs I regularly visit. As much as I’m amazed at the illustrations from the scans, flipping through the actual book itself takes that amazement to the next  level. Not only all the illustrations are in one little neat book but there are additional contents inside as well which makes it well worth in owning a copy.
Tune in for a review soon as I will be going through these ‘additional’ contents. Beware, it may poison you to get a copy. You have been warned. LOL

The 2 Bluray movies are my very first movies on Bluray. The Transformer movie is a classic of mine where I’ve been wanting to get it for a while. It’s already out on DVD but I decided to put it off and wait for it on Bluray. Overall, there wasn’t much difference between the price so it was worth the wait. Can’t wait to watch Revenge of the Fallen the coming Tuesday. So excited for that one. ^^
The Day the Earth Stood Still was more of a random pick up. I missed the movie in the cinemas so I decided to buy it on Bluray. It’s the same price when it’s first released on DVD so what the heck. LOL

Well, it’s been a huge looting week. It doesn’t happen often but it just so happens all of my orders arrived this week. And I finished early on Thursday as well. ^^

So here’s a recap of what came in this week

  • 1/8 Mikuru Asahina Adult Ver.
  • 1/100 Tieren Ground Type
  • 1/8 Sakura Nankyoku Maid Ver.
  • 1/8 Yukari Morita PVC
  • Nendoroid Yoko
  • Saber portraits illustration book
  • Transformer: The Movie (Animated) on Bluray
  • The Day the Earth Stood Still on Bluray

    Oh man, I can’t believe you bought The day the Earth Stood Still. I watched it at the movies and it was such a waste of money. And damn, I didn’t know Kino had Saber portraits.

    Yours truely can recognize that face from a mile away XD

    Poison won’t work on me anymore since I’ve stashed most of my money in my savings account and am too lazy to take it out (even with no additional charge, since the interest is like 0.01%)

    I’ve seen part of the original Transformers movie. To be honest, I didn’t like it, mainly because I hated the deep accents of the voice actors.

    @Adun
    Overall I thought it was a weird movie but still alright. Do I regret buying it, kinda. LOL

    @Snark
    hahaha. Yeah, the 5th Element is still one of the best sci-fiction movies out there.

    @GNdynames
    I really like the original VA who did the movie. Might be because I grew up watching the original with the original VAs.
    It’s cool if I can’t poison u. I never intend to from the start. :P

    @phossil
    U will sure get a copy after seeing what’s inside then. lol

    @T.I.P.
    Be prepared, u will like it. ^^

    @nyoron
    I’m sure everyone does. lol

    @shino
    Doubt it. I will be broke very soon if I keep going lol.

    @M12

    I heard the old version of The day the Earth Stood Still is better, but I haven’t watch either of them though. Now Transformer the Movie is a good buy.
    Saber Portrait!, I would love to get it but I am still trying to cut down on purchases
