Sydney Supanova 09: Part 1

Supanova has once again returned back to Sydney for another year of fun filled goodness. What I found more interesting about this year compared to previous years was not only there was more people, the event was slighter bigger, there was more activities and stallholders and there was many more cosplayers.

I arrived at The Dome in Olympic Park at around 9:45am and already I see a long line queuing up. At first, I saw 3 lines and I was in the midst of confusion as to which line I should be in for the door sales as I didn’t pre-register for the event. Unfortunately, I was in one of the door sales lines that shouldn’t exist because there was already an ongoing line for that but luckily one of the event coordinators stopped it early as the line was building up or I’ve could’ve been in line way at the back.

I managed to get in at around 10:30am which was quicker than I expected. I realised the door-sales line was moving faster than the pre-registered one. The pre-registered line looks at though it wasn’t moving at all and I betcha some of them wished they didn’t pre-register when the saw how quick the door sales line was moving.

Once inside, I decided to make a quick round, around some of the stallholders like Tamarket to see if they have any rare goodies available. Everytime I managed to get in early for a convention, I always take advantage of this opportunity before other people beat me to it. Later on, I managed to meet up with Bubby, Adun and his mates. One of them I got to meet for the first time was Mini, the co-writer of Moe Moe Rabu.

As I came alone this year, I decided to hang out with Adun and his mates. While being at a convention is fun itself, it’s more fun when your hanging out with your mates.

As I’m rolling out over 100+ pictures, it will be a shame to cram it all in just one post so I decided to spread it out in 2 parts.
