Music Monday ~ Mami Kawada – Masterpiece

Something old but maybe new for you guys. With the start of a new week, I hope things will go with the flow for now unlike last week with many dinner outings, events, doctor appointments, computer dilemmas, concerts and juggling it all in between work.
Because of this, I wasn’t able to watch a single episode from any series and enjoy new and fresh music straight from the charts. Despite that, I’m not complaining because that’s just life and we go through that whether they are ups and/or downs. Don’t worry, I’m not dying. :)

So this week music moment features an old song from my favourite artist Mami Kawada once again. If you guessed it right, it is indeed the 2nd OP single of the hit popular series,To Aru Majutsu no Index. If you recall, I featured the 1st OP single 2 months back.

At this point, I’m almost done with the series as I’m up to the most anticipating part, the ENDING. How the epic ends between science and magic when they cross paths? I will wait and see. ^^

The single is still available at cdjapan so grab it now. Both the Limited and Regular edition is still available and off course the Limited edition includes a DVD with the PV. In addition it comes with a nice bonus. Crazy Index fans should be all over it. xD
Compared with the 1st OP, I like the 1st one better. I kinda think it’s a better single from her and I like the PV more as well. xD

I liked the single, overall, when I’ve watched the OP of Index (all season). The singing is cute, the music is ok, the words fit the series, but the ending, at least of the OP was annoying.

“Perfect masterpiece!…. Hoooo!”
It was so unrelated, to anything. Spoiled it a bit.

I really like this song, and it fits in the series very well. It’s hard to say which one of the OP singles I like better. I probably prefer PSI-Missing to Masterpiece, but when it comes to secondary songs, I like Jellyfish better than Ame.

Haven’t heard this one before. Now I’m going to go on to find all of her songs, because this one was really nice, just like her other songs.

I find the ending is a nice touch to end the episode. When u say the OP is annoying, do u mean animation wise?
I like both but I still prefer the 1st OP.

Well, indeed Jellyfish was just another great track I couldn’t ignore. It’s not often we get great B side tracks and I’m kinda liking it more than Masterpiece.

Nah, I just dislike the “Perfect masterpiece! Hoooo!” bit. That annoys me.
