In 7 weeks time, I will be taking a little holiday away from the ‘daily grind’ of work and the Aussie life in general and spend just over a week at one of most beautiful cities in the world, Singapore. In addition, it also known as the “Garden City” because of it’s clean and green environment or so they say from the sources I gather. I guess I will have to see for myself when I get there. lol

The timing of this break was not only to save up enough funds to get there and be there for the duration of the period but also to attend AFA09.

If you have been following, checking or spying on my tweets, you would’ve known by now, I’ll heading there during the week of AFA09 when I make the official tweet about it a few weeks back. In addition, I’ve placed a lot of  hints in many of my posts a few weeks back so it wasn’t that hard to guess I was going somewhere fun and exciting. I think a few you even spat out the answer if my memory serves me right. ><

I can confirm now I will be there between 14th Nov. – 23 Nov. where I will staying for a total of 9 days and 9 nights. I will be staying at the Fragrance Hotel – Rose for the time I am there so if any Singaporeans wanna meet up or just drop by and say hi, you will know where to find me. Off course, this really depends on my busy schedule when I’m there as the gang from Zotaku (Zenical, Guuzen and M) has been kinda enough to take me out and give me the Singapore experience I will never forget. They suggested the ’simple life’ is the best but I wouldn’t mind doing some fancy or flashy under the bright lights. I was told the nightlife there is pretty amazing and beautiful and it has almost everything compared to nothing here.

As for AFA09, it will be my first overseas convention. Already thinking about it has got me all excited and considering it’s “South East Asia’s biggest event celebrating all things related to Japanese animation and popular culture” who wouldn’t.
I can already see a lot of hype coming to this event and the magnitude of it is not to be reckon with. With loads of events, live performances from popular artists like May’N, Shoko Nakagawa, Ichirou Mizuki, competitions like the Bandai World Gundam Competition (even though I’m not a Gundam fan, it’s still pretty epic) and making an appearance himself Danny Choo from Japan and a Maid Cafe (not sure if this is the real deal but it looks pretty real), it’s gonna be a more bigger experience compared to what I’ve seen here. :D

Well that’s about it for now. The saving up continues and as I’m doing extra shifts in the coming weeks, it’s gonna help a lot unless I get tempted before I head off mid-November. :P
