Alter Nanoha Exceed Mode has arrived

It’s been a long wait and I’m happy the wait is over as my Alter Takamachi Nanoha Exceed Mode has finally arrived today. I knew she was coming today after being shipped from Hobby Search on Monday. I’ve been tracking the EMS page very closely and I woke up extra early to ensure I didn’t miss the postman this time round. Surprisingly the postman gave me a call to check if I was at home before making a delivery attempt for the first time EVER. It seems Australia Post is providing a more better service because lately I’ve been receiving calls to see if I did receive my packages whether it’s shipped by SAL or not. ^^

FINALLY!!!!!!
If you got Fate True Sonic Form, you already know how big her box was. Well, Nanoha box is slighter smaller but that’s because of her height. Had to ask Q for some confirmation as he got Fate (instead of Nanoha :P). While the box was not as big as Fate that didn’t mean the shipping cost was any cheaper because with a shipping price tag of 5,400yen via EMS, it was still a wallet burner. I don’t recall spending that much on shipping cost and the box size looked similar to the box I received on BRS near the end of last year and it didn’t cost this much. :S
Unpackaging her and getting all the pieces together and in place took me a good hour so be prepared for a lengthy setup. There was so many plastic layers underneath one another, I thought it took me forever to get through them all. @_@
As for the review, the pictures are all ready to go. I wanted to get her done and I wanted her to be the first review of the new year so keep an eye out for it tomorrow. :D

Yikes shipping! I don’t even want to think of the costs to Europe/states-side, heh.
I dunno, she looks nice, but her colour pallette just doesn’t bring forth a “Wow!” feeling. And her head looks small compared to her bulky outfit, and doesn’t look very exciting either.
The movement of the figure is very well done though, she does feel as if she moves, and I guess the sheer size gives some excitement of its own ;)

Yep she definitely have more pieces than the rest. Another excellent figure, on par with Fate or probably better ^^;
Still got more Nanoha figures to go with the newly announced Fate movie and Vivio. Choosing to collect Nanoha series probably even worst than Haruhi ^^;

Just so you know shipping is based not on weight, but on box size. It costs me the same price to ship Haruhi’s dancho band from HLJ as it did a regular sized 1/8 figure. The person at the reception asked me if the box is just an empty box.

That is an awesome figure to have and am a bit envious. I have heard before that shipping for it was a real bear due to the size of the box.

Shipping for my Alter Nanoha from HLJ through EMS was a hefty 7000Yen. ^^;;

To be said, i’m not a Nanoha figures fan, still i should be because i likes wings and they all have them.
I don’t know what stops me. Anyway, despite this, i think she’s magnificent. Beautifuler than Fate (personal taste of course)
But 1h of assembly… WooooW! I think i would be very upset. LoooooL
Shipping costs are always a pain when it’s about large boxes.
In any case, it’s good the postman called you just before his visit. Would be great belgian post take lesson from Australian post :)

It’ hard to explain the excitement in getting her. I’ve been waiting for her for a long time and if u don’t like Nanoha then that just makes my job harder. :(
Her outfit is spread out because of her movement hence dynamic pose. Given the sheer size of her, it’s okay for the head to be small. lol

hahahaha. I kinda given on Haruhi figures for now due to the lack of Haruhi figures in the market. I’m actually looking forward to more scale figures on Haruhi instead of nendo and figmas.
Indeed, collecting Nanoha related figures is expensive so I decided to concentrate on Nanoha itself. xD
