Got Nendoroid Kirisame Marisa!!!

Last Friday, I received my first package from Otacute and as the title states, it’s the adorable nendoroid Kirisame Marisa from the Touhou Project.
Kirisame Marisa now makes up a total of 17 nendoroids in my collection and I will be hitting the 20 mark by mid-year comes around I assure you. GSC is now nendorizing so many more lovely characters, it’s hard not to resist. >_<

As my first package from Otacute, I would like to take a moment and talk about my shopping experience with them. Many have already shopped with them once or twice and there has been nothing but good feedback in return and this is why I decided to give them a go.

Other than the fact you cannot cancel your preorders, the shopping experience overall is excellent. Newly listed products are added in on the same day and they even use social networking services like twitter and facebook to communicate these products when your on the go.
Customer service is another factor to consider when it comes to online shopping and that has been excellent as well. Any matters are dealt with in an orderly and timed fashion.

Last but not least, the packaging of the product. When it comes to packaging, I get really picky because I expect no less than a intact (including the product box itself) new product in my hand and to achieve that, the packaging has to be seal really tight and sturdy enough to withstand a few bumps along during the way.
Looking at how they packaged it, I find they did an excellent job. The style in their taping and the use of newspaper is quite similar to Hobby Search style of packaging but since a majority of their products are shipped via EMS, you can be assured they are speedy, safe and handled in the utmost care but in this scenario, it was shipped via SAL, the lowest priority shipping but it still made it here intact and the product in mint condition. ^^

In conclusion, Otacute is a recommended online retailer for your figure goods. Everyone expect the best online service and their products to come in one piece and you get basically that. ^_^

I received my first Otacute package recently. It was also a nendoroid, Luka. Her own box was intact, but the package was very strange. It seemed as if they had grabbed a box and refolded it to change its shape as there were folds on the box sides. Nevertheless, the inside was thoroughly filled with paper and the nendoroid box inside was well protected. I was content with it. But in comparison with HLJ’s packaging, Otacute falls short.

I’ve shopped from Otacute once before for my Nendoroid Petit set and they arrived in mint condition! :D If you order a certain amount, I think they throw in a little freebie too because when my package came there was a little rubber figure of this girl from Magus Tales thrown in as a thank-you. I really like this seller but it kind of irks me that you can’t cancel preorders… once the figures come in, are you FORCED to buy them? I have a preorder now and I don’t really want it anymore so I don’t know what to do >_>

not bad not bad… i wanted a marisa nendoroid as well… but having 2 marisa figurines in my collection… i think i will pass

never shopped with otacute… and looking at the review.. i might try it one day if i find something special =p

Oh, nice purchase. ~ I find that I’m getting the Touhou figmas instead of the nendoroids, though. But the nendos are definitely cute also. <3

Otacute is a pretty nice site. I've been pre-ordering just about everything from them lately, jumping over from Toyslogic since it seems I can never trust that I'll get anything from them within a decent amount of time (and after months of waiting for things that never come… or 'come' as items we never ordered, my friends and I are really sick of it ). I have three things in the mail from Otacute right now, actually. The two Nendo Touhou plush and then figma Reimu. Can't wait to receive the lot of them. ~

I ordered my first pre-order on Otacute lately, who’s gonna be available in april. I had good echoes on their selling site and moreover it’s a friend of mine who took care of their site.
I also received Marisa this week. She’s more than cute! :D GSC pleases us with their nendos…. but they’re ruining us too. LoooooL

A Touhou Nendoroid :o

I laughed at the fact that they used some ramen sauce carton box as the packaging for your figure. Reusing old packaging for new delivery sounds not so ‘professional’, but it’s economical I suppose. Good to see that the whole thing came in good shape even with SAL.

I saw this on Otacute’s homepage and I was SOO tempted to order it. Though I am not too familiar with the Touhou series sadly so I could not justify the purchase. In general I do like Otacute their pricing seems fairly good, shipping does not absolutely kill you if you stick with SAL Registered, and they have some decent sales on older figma they have in stock at the moment.

The fact you CANNOT cancel a preorder is a bummer, but at the very least they do not charge your card until the figure is shipped so it is not overly bad.

I’m jealous XD Otacute really is awesome for finding rare Touhou figs, but unfortunately I missed out on everything that’s been released already. I do have Sukaya Izayoi and Sanae Kochiya nendos ordered through them, and the Marisa Figma. Really wish I could have gotten this one and Reimu though. Wow 17 Nendos already? I only have 6… if you don’t include petits. :X

Yay!!!! That’s pretty awesome about Otacute! I, too, have heard many a good thing about them, so I decided to make a preorder with them as well. Aside from not being able to cancel or combine orders, I like that they aren’t charging an exorbitant price on their products. The Touhou nendoroids are so darling in nature and have a great abundance of personality to them.

Yeah, Otacute did a good job with my Megurine Luka nendoroid as well. And it’s wicked so many stores now sell limited items, which makes it cheaper… but they run out so quickly, heh.
