Both of these arrived last Wednesday, a day after I received my first loots in the mail. As you can see they are:

• Nana Mizuki Live Diamond x Fever BD and
• Yui Horie CLIPS 2 BD

Both was shipped out together 2 days before the end of 2009. I was happy they were out before the year end because if  that wasn’t the case then I would’ve had to wait for another week for them to arrive which would’ve made me sad. :(

Nana Mizuki Live Diamond x Fever features both Live performances from Live Diamond 2009 on July 5, 2009 at Seibu Dome and Live Fever 2009 on January 25, 2009 at Nippon Budokan. If your a fan of Nana and LUVE her LIVE performances then this is one item you should consider getting.

The booklet

Both the Blu-ray and DVD is still available at cdjapn for  9429yen. If you have a Blu-ray player or a PS3 then the Blu-ray is the most obvious choice. Both are the same price and your getting you moneys worth with HD.

Next up is, Yui Horie CLIPS 2. Similar to Yui Horie CLIPS 1, CLIPS 2 features all her music videos from the 5th single “Scramble” to her latest one “Yahho!!” It also features unreleased music videos like I, my, me, Love Countdown and JET!!! from her latest album Honey JET!!!.
I gotta give credit to Zen for mentioning about the unreleased music videos  included on the disc because if they weren’t included especially I,my,me then there was a good chance I wouldn’t have picked it up. xD

Included as well is a 12 page booklet which features the lyrics and beautiful pictures of HOCCHAN. I forgot to snap some pics. which is not like me because I like to share the luve so I do apologies.
Both the Blu-ray and DVD is still available at cdjapan. Blu-ray is 5000yen while the DVD is 4000yen. One thing the DVD have which the Blu-ray doesn’t is the special outer case (First Press only) but other than that it’s all about quality on the big screen. ^^

As for reviews on both, it may not happen since I’m planning on bigger things installed for this site.
Just be sure keep your heads up at Zone Otaku as I’m certain Zen will be reviewing both. :)

The release of Heartsnative has been out for some time now and it was only recently I got my hands on it since I bundled it with my other cd loots as mentioned in my last loots from last year post. I’m embarrassed to say, this is my first official Miku album every since I’ve became a Miku addict or fanboy should I say. With the continuous released of so many Miku albums where many are collaboration works with famous artists and mixes, we do get a handful of varieties in genre to choose from . While most tracks sounds similar, each is unique in it’s way and that’s where your preference comes in.

The collaboration work with MOSAIC.WAV is the reason why I bought this album, making it my first Miku album.

MOSAIC.WAV has been one of my favourite artists for very a long time ever since I got into Sumomomo Momomo. They did the OP tracks for the series and I couldn’t help but feel the energy and rhythm each time I hear it over and over again. A little background about them incase your not familiar. They are currently one of the top akiba-pop style artists where many of their music are used in anime and games. The leading vocal singer is mi~ko and her crazy voice is the reason why I like her very much. It’s crazily addictive. xD

So with the work by MOSAIC.WAV and Kamo Tsuruta (don’t really know too much about him), the album still retains that Miku vibe while adding a bit of akiba-pop style in it. It’s quite addictive when you start getting through the tracks and feeling the vibe. The sad part is there’s only a total of 7 tracks but the upside from what I can think of is each track goes for at least 5 mins long so your still getting your moneys worth.

In regards to the extra contents included with the album, it has plenty.

Giving the low down, they include:

• The cardboard illustration of the cover.
• A 40-page booklet with illustrations, interviews, lyrics and other notes.
• An album jacket and
• 8  jacket covers

I find the 40-page booklet and the 8 jacket covers are the 2 worthy items included. The booklet illustrations inside are the same in what you get on the jacket covers so there’s not much difference from there.

Having a look at the jacket covers, my favourite one will have to be the bottom left. I really like the artwork  and it’s just really eye-catching overall. The best thing about multiple jacket covers is, you can swap them out when you want a change. It makes you feel like you have a new album or a fresh one in my opinion. xD

The jacket covers matches up the illustration from behind. :)

Still available at cdjapan, do grab yourself a copy if your a miku lover. The music is great and the samples above just doesn’t get you into that vibe until your breezing through each track in one go. Be aware, the Regular edition only contains the album while the Limited contains everything you see here. It’s only a couple of bucks extra and I doubt you will be thinking about those couple of bucks when you have it in your hands. :D

Slightly late but still on time in JST, I would like to extend my happiness and wish Yui Horie a Happy Birthday. She turns 33 today but in many many many peoples eyes, she will always be forever ( I prefer sweet)  17. xD

I was first introduced to her by my good friend zenical. At first I took interest in her singing, dancing and seiyuu craze but now I’m a hardcore fan. LOL
Well, I’m not too hardcore but she definitely one of my favourite Jpop singers of all time. ^^

One of things I found out is HER FACE DOES NOT CHANGE!!!! xD

So thanks Zen, thanks for sharing the poison, I mean luve. xD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOCCHAN!!!

Received a small parcel this morning from cdjapan. As I walked to the kitchen, I saw it was just inside my front door. At that very moment, I knew my mum has picked up the parcel and put it inside considering she always leave for work from the front door. One thing I don’t like about receiving parcels on Monday is the postman always comes a lot earlier than usual to deliver my stuff hence another reason for my mum to scold at me. -_-
Well, she hasn’t said anything yet but I will see.

Back on topic, 3 items from my 3 favourite artists. (2 of them of them are seiyuu off course)

At last, that day has come for me to get into LIVE. It was only a matter of time for me to get addicted into it and I owe a big thanks to Zenical. Yes, she is the culprit of my money woes but really, it wasn’t a big lost considering I did a full shift overtime a fortnight ago. As you can see, all that money went into here where I have no regrets and  I MEAN NO REGRETS  in what you are about to see next. xD

Can you see why I’m in fanboy mode other than the fact I have both of these DVDs? XDXDXDXDXDXD
I think Zen is the only one who knows why. LOL

Basically both of them are “First Press” editions meaning they contain a extra bonus extra or extras inside. Horie Yui  Christmas Live First Press edition comes with a deluxe outer case and 24-page picture booklet (WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!) and Nana Mizuki Live Fighter Blue Side comes housed in a limited packaging. (ZOMFG, I CAN”T BELIEVE IT!!!!) :D

One of the things in ordering late is you will likely miss out on the First Press editions if you don’t preorder early and clearly I did not do that and according to cdjapan, they are long sold out. I recall Zenical doing a loot post about this item where she got the First press edition even though she ordered it late and the First Press edition was long sold out. She was explaining how joyful she was where she went into fangirl mode etc. Well, I can tell you, I was doing exactly that when I immediately found that green sticker on the plastic cover. What sent me into “HyperDrive mode” was when I realised I saw a similar sticker on Nana plastic cover.
What are the odds in having 2 First Press edition when cdjapan states it’s sold out? :D
Looks like Zenical is not the only lucky one here. Hocchan loves me too. xD

Last but not least, Mami Kawada first album Seed. I decided to grab it after being amazed by some of her old singles. I really like some of her old tracks so I decided to grab it and enjoy them all in full quality. I was planning to include her 2nd album into the order but I realised I already surpassed my intended budget I planned (this order is already over budget) so I postponed it for now. ^^

Well that’s it. It’s been a long time since I went WILD over a loot but I have a good feeling this won’t be my last. xD

As I venture towards this new hobby of mine, this Music Monday segment has gotten a lot more fun and exciting to do. So, making it official, I’ve decided but not 1 but 2 Music Monday moments, hence the title,  to satisfy my love and your readers love (I’m sure there’s a handful out there) towards Jpop and Seiyuu. ^^
I won’t be doing this every Monday because it depends on my time and mood. Looks like I’m in a good mood and have plenty of time today. xD

So to kick things off, I present Nana Mizuki - Crystal Letter.

Why I love this song so much? Well, it’s really simple, I love PV’s, I like Nana and I LOVE pretty dresses and when you add them all together, the fanboy inside me just explodes. xD
Well, to be honest, there isn’t really much to say about this one. It’s just a really really lovely song and I fell in love with it the moment I watched the PV. I was just blown away.

………….in addition, it was one of a few where I wasn’t poisoned by Zen. xD

Anyway, this is one of her older tracks where it’s not available on it’s own. It’s from one of her older albums The Museum, where it contains 16 tracks of her greatest hits from past singles and albums.
If your not sure if your a  Nana fan or not, then listening to this album will surely make you one. ^^

Here’s a LIVE version for the ppl who prefer LIVE!!!!!

As a request by Zen-chan, I’ve decided to gather my own thoughts and do a proper review for Minori Chihara latest album, Parade. Considering it’s quite an old album (9 months old to be exact from the release date), I thought I wouldn’t bother considering many Minori fans already bought it and/or listened to it over and over again but digging deeper into my thoughts, I wonder “What about the people who are not yet decided on Minori and/or not convinced yet it’s good?”
Well, this is where I came in and hopefully clear up some if not all of your doubts about the album. Also, if you new and interested, this review may serve you as a poison guide to Minori fandom. xD

So Parade is Minori Chihara 3rd solo album and my first album from her. Many of you know her as the seiyuu of Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Chiaki Minami from Minami-ke. There are many others out there where I’m sure many of you know her well but these 2 are the ones who stands out the most for me. Her full list of seiyuu role can be found here.

So what makes this album so great? Not only she has a great seiyuu voice who can take the role on many unique characters, but her singing ability is just phenomenon. At first, I thought with the voice like Yuki Nagato (I swear, I thought her real voice was like Yuki lol), there’s no way she could sing at all but after doing a more thorough research, I was proven wrong. The moment I listened to Paradise Lost, the OP of Ga-Rei -Zero-, I was impressed and when I saw the PV, I was just BLOWN away by her talent and from that point onwards, I knew I was more intrigued than I ever was before.

Now that she’s one of my favourite seiyuu and Jpop singers, picking up this album was the right choice because there are many other tracks inside which took my breath away. Another few of my favourite includes Melty tale storage and Ameagari no Hana yo Sake (Let the Flower Bloom After the Rain). Both of these songs are just incredible and it’s one of the reasons why I’ve become a fan of her so quickly. xD

So with a total of 14 songs in this album, every cent or yen put into it was worth it. With so much variety track by track, it’s not surprising I ‘fanboy’ every ’so’ moment and you might too. LOL

Unfortunately, the Regular edition is only available and that’s what I’ve got. Considering I’m already 9 months late, it’s not surprising the Limited edition has disappeared for good because I would’ve love to have gotten the photo book and I read there was a B2 poster inside as well. Bummer -_-

It’s not too late to get into the fandom of Minori. This album is so good, it doesn’t get boring after every playback. ^^
