Featuring this weeks Monday moment, I present the popular music group, supercell with their brand new single “Sayonara Memories” featuring Nagi as their guest vocalist. This single marks their 2nd release featuring Nagi.

If supercell rings a bell to you but you can’t remember what music they did then let me help you jog your memory but adding in ‘Hatsune Miku’.
This is the group which has been the instruments behind the Miku music and without them, I doubt Miku tracks could’ve turned out this good.

Supercell is a Japanese 11-member music group led by composer and lyricist Ryo which formed in 2007 as a dōjin music group. Supercell started out by making use of the Hatsune Miku singing synthesizer to produce vocals for songs submitted to the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website. The popularity of the songs led the group to release the independent self-titled album Supercell at Comiket 74 in August 2008. Supercell made their major debut with Sony Music Entertainment Japan with the professional release of their Supercell album in March 2009, which was updated with more songs and a DVD. Supercell released their first single, “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari”, in August 2009 with vocals by Nagi, herself a vocalist primarily known for her uploads to Nico Nico Douga under the name Gazelle.

Clearly having a guest vocalist like Nagi brings a fresh new taste to their music. She has a wonderful sweet voice and it’s music to my ear. :)

Presenting the 4th and what could possibly be the last ED from the Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood series, Shunkan Sentimental by Scandal. Their new single was released last Wednesday and already it’s becoming a big hit. Indeed, I’m already digging it. xD

The single was brought in on ep. 39 where at the same time the new OP, Period by CHEMISTRY was brought in as well. Since I was immediately enjoying the OP before it was officially out, I wasn’t sure if I will have the same reaction with the ED. I didn’t like it at first go so I gave it some time and eventually it started growing on me.
Overall, I’m not a big Scandal fan but I will make this one an exception. If this track wasn’t one of ED from the FMA: Brotherhood series or any other series then I would’ve completely given it a miss without listening more.

If my analysis is correct and this is the last ED from the series then, I say Uso by SID will be my No. 1 ED from the series followed by Let it Out by Miho Fukuhara, this one and finally Tsunai Da Te by Lil’B (which I never featured  since I found it wasn’t that great).

The lovely sweet voice of Haruka Tomatsu is back with a brand new single, Girls, Be Ambitious which was released just last week. People who are following the series, Sora no Oto should know, it’s the OP single as well.

Haruka Tomatsu is no stranger to the seiyuu industry as she’s been doing this since 2007. A few of her memorable roles includes Shinkyoku Sōkai Polyphonica and Shinkyoku Sōkai Polyphonica Crimson S as Corticarte Apa Lagranges and Kannagi as Nagi.
Now, back for another year and still doing strong, she brings out a brand new single which is sweeter than ever.

Despite the fact I have not begun on the series yet, it didn’t hold me back in loving this track. Her voice is lovely and sweet and this PV is a winner. I can’t remember the last time school looked this much fun. lol

If Haruka Tomatsu is your favourite seiyuu and you want more than than just cd’s and DVD’s , then I highly recommend picking up her upcoming Photo Book High Touch!. This week, I decided to feature something old, something dark and something Gothic and the best band which best fit all 3 of these description is Ali Project with their greatest and one of my favourite hit, Seishoujo Ryouiki. This single is the OP of Rozen Maiden: Traumend which is also my favourite series as well. :)

Ali Project has been in the Jpop industry for a fairly long time where a few of their tracks get’s selected as an OP or ED or both for a series. This is how I came about to know them well and while their style in music is not always my type, there is always a select few which catches my ears and this is one of them.
It seems this time round the PV didn’t win me over but it was the anime that did. After hearing the OP over and over again, it kinda got stuck in my head and now I like it. I guess, I can’t help it this time round as Rozen Maiden one of my favourite series of all time. I still have my fingers cross for a S3 because the fight for the right to be Alice is not over yet. :D

Single is still available at cdjapan but since it’s a couple of years old. I’m sure many already have the track by now. If Ali Project is your type of band and you prefer something new, then I recommend getting their latest album released 2 weeks ago. Both Limited and Regular edition is still available.

The latest single Phantom Minds by the lovely Nana Mizuki, takes out this week music monday feature. The single was released last week and I reckon the timing was just right as this single is also the theme song to the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st which get’s released on the 23rd this month.

I can’t wait for the movie. More Nanoha goodness (yes and Fate as well lol)

The single includes an additional 3 tracks making it a total of 4 tracks on the cd. 4 unique songs in one cd by Nana for only 1238yen. Not a bad deal for all you Nana fans out there (including me off course.) :)
The track list are as follows:

3. Song Communication
4. 十字架のスプレッド (Juujika no Spread)

Overall, out of the 4 tracks, I still prefer Phantom Minds but 十字架のスプレッド (Juujika no Spread) is not bad either. Well, it really depends on my mood and whichever song I like to digg into that day so if I didn’t have to pick a favourite, I like them all. :)

Single is still available at cdjapan with 17 copies in stock. Since the First Press edition is still available, I’m guessing all 17 copies are First Press editions so don’t miss your chance.

Unfortunately the full PV is not out yet but enjoy the CM version instead. I have a hunch it will be included in Nana Clips 5 released later this year.

Before ep. 39 was officially aired, the full single was already out including the PV and I was able to get a chance to watch it on youtube. It’s already been a couple of days now after I first watched it and every night thus far, I’ve been looping it more than 10 times. I just couldn’t get enough and I’m just itching for it’s official release date so I can enjoy it over and over again on my media player. Two weeks feels so long. :(

If my analysis is correct and this is the last OP from the series, then I gotta say Golden Time Lover by Sukima Switch comes out to be my No. 1 OP from the series. This song will have to come 2nd follow by Again by Yui and then Hologram by NICO Touches the Walls.

Single is still available for preorder at cdjapan. It’s official release date is on 27/01/2010 but you may get it before that date given the fact cdjapan get their stock in early on many new releases. xD
